Yesterday was one of those days where I couldn't find my stride. I had a list of ten things I wanted to accomplish and everything was taking longer than it should. So I decided to jump into a creative project - making the second prototype of a purse I want to start selling.
I ended up ripping the seams out four times before I got it right. My brain was not working at its usual engineering capacity and I couldn't figure out what I needed to sew together in order to flip the whole thing inside out. It is amazing I made the first prototype in one try.
I went to a hot yoga mid-project and the theme of the class was very appropriate, resistance. Specifically how resistance allows for growth by pushing against it and using it to create change. This message of using tension to your advantage resonated loudly with what I'm experiencing and the decisions I'm making right now. It was a nice physical outlet for the push and pull that I've been feeling.
After yoga the bag came together and now I have a second bag prototype, plus a lot of notes on what to do next time. The growth cycle is working I guess.
